Private doctors usually do not have a contract with a health insurance fund. Exceptions may include contracts with a few selected health insurance funds.
As your dentist and fee-for-service dentist in Vienna, we have a contract with KFA and SVS. Apart from that, we are a purely private dental practice. If you are insured with the aforementioned health insurance funds, you can choose whether the services are to be covered by the health insurance fund, or whether you are treated purely as a private patient.
As a private dentist, we can tailor our services even more to your needs, offer you appointments more quickly and take more time for your treatment.
SVA, KFA and private
Who covers the costs for a private dentist?
Who covers the costs for a private dentist?
If you are insured with KFA or SVS, we will forward the invoice directly to these health insurance funds. If you are insured with another health insurance fund (e.g. ÖGK), you will receive an invoice from us for the dental treatments performed.
You will need to pay these costs yourself initially, but you can then submit the invoice to your health insurance provider. You will usually be reimbursed 80 % of the health insurance rate.
Important: It is not 80 % of the total costs, but 80 % of the amount that a GP would have received for their services. For some dental services (e.g. purely cosmetic treatments), the health insurance fund does not cover the costs and you must pay for them in full yourself.

Your benefits with a private dentist in Vienna
We are not bound by the guidelines of the statutory Vienna health insurance funds in our services. This allows us to work more carefully.
Whether you have questions, concerns, requests or simply need general support: at our practice, we deal with every issue individually and thoroughly.
As a private dentist, we can offer appointments more quickly at our practice than dentists registered with the national health insurance scheme. Waiting times at our practice are also shorter.

As your chosen dentist in Vienna, we offer high-quality dental implants – including for single teeth. These are fixed in place and do not need to be removed all the time.

WISDOM TEETH & ORAL SURGERY
If wisdom teeth cause trouble, we are on hand. We remove them gently to prevent issues.
Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, we can make well-founded decisions even in complex cases as to whether teeth need to be extracted or not. In addition, we also offer further services in oral surgery (including root-end resection (apicoectomy) and regenerative dental surgery).
BENEFITS OF A PRIVATE DENTIST IN VIENNA
To make treatments easier for children and anxious patients, we have a screen above the dental chair that provides distraction.
A lateral cephalogram or 3D image of the jaw is often useful in order to be able to make well-founded treatment decisions.
Thanks to modern appliances, both are possible for us.
Health insurance funds often do not pay for consultations, which is why panel doctors lack the time for discussions. As a private dentist, on the other hand, we and our team can take sufficient time for detailed consultations.

Compared to our previous experiences, my daughter's treatment here was carefully planned right from the start. The consultation was honest and easy to understand; it was clearly stated what makes sense and is safe at this age, without any detours or expensive extra services. The cooperation with the anaesthesia team was also very pleasant, empathetic, professional and completely straightforward.
The surgery itself is modern, clean and really pleasant. Because of my daughter's good experiences, I eventually stayed for my own check-up and treatment, and the work there was also very thorough and professional.
Additionally, clinic assistant Alina impresses with her extremely friendly manner and professional demeanour. Vivienne was also very accommodating and carried out an excellent dental hygiene treatment.
The location has good transport links; it is best to travel by public transport as there is hardly any parking in the surrounding area, and it is about a five-minute walk from Praterstern.
